Although depending on teachers and subjects I have found that most teachers do not cater work for the student and more cater it towards them. I have seen a lack of respect for teachers as well as lots of students struggling due to the way the school is ran and continues to be run.

My experience overall has been wonderful. The community there is outstanding and so supportive of everyone's goals. Mahopac is always looking for the next best thing for students and advocating for us. The school did have trouble balancing requirements for high achieving students and sometimes had a hard time listening to student issues. I would like to see the approach to student related issues change. I would also like the involvement of guidance counselors to improve and grow.

In my experience at Mahopac High School I have noticed that although there are some areas that need improvement the sense of family in our school never seems to fade. It is a very warm and welcoming community and everyone is able to seem to find a sense of belonging here

Both of my children graduated from Mahopac High School. They are both outstanding, productive and successful adults. I owe part of their success to this school. I would be thrilled to have my grandchildren attend this school someday.
