There are some teachers that are exemplary!!! Others are just good. The teachers who haven't been best suited for my children's needs (gifted) still did their best to challenge them.

Each classroom has an IPad for teacher use. Very convenient for them. However, I feel like the school as a whole used technology as a punishment and reward system too much. They have an outdoor space for gardening that was not taken care of and therefore was not used for its potential. There was an outdoor clean up day last year and no one showed up but my family. There was no notification of cancellation.

We had one teacher out of four that genuinely cared about children. My child's kindergarten teacher was about 70 years old or older and was washed out. I sat in on her class once and was appalled at her old fashioned methods. My child's first grade teacher was amazing. She loved my child and his behavior and attitude proved it. We are still in contact. My child's third grade teacher was the worst. She treated my child different from the other students. She needed to move on but instead they put her in third grade and the children suffered.

Our bilingual daughter went to NV Elementary for two years (yr1 and yr2). We moved houses and had to change schools but we were really happy with this school. The school is really supportive and deals with any issues promptly. Our daughter had an amazing art teacher. She adored Mrs Kellogg (year 1 t...

I feel there are some very good teachers at Northview. Our kindergarten year was great! But, first grade has been a struggle. His teacher had an awful system of rules which the 5th rule was keep your teacher happy. Plus, my son was very rarely pushed to excel because he was ahead, more like he was h...

My children both attended Northview elementary in 2011, and I was not impressed. The teachers here constantly complain about the kids and seem as if they hate their jobs. From 2012-2014 we lived in Colorado and were fortunate to attend an amazing school. My son has speech issues, and the school in C...

We moved to Manhattan February 2014. I think any parent would be concerned about the transition, but it was flawless! She had a wonderful 3rd grad teacher and a fantastic 4th grade teacher. Her teachers know how to motivate her. They are very interested and involved in her life and education. Her te...
