High School has been both a mix of highs and lows. The best part of my experience at high school is the friendships I have made and the excitement of school events, like sports games. At Mankato Wes,t we have a pretty good football team and they have made it to state a few times It's fun to go to the state game with all my classmates and cheer on the football team. The worst part is the pressure on my academic performance. I try to make sure I am trying my best at everything academically but sometimes I don't do as well as I want to and am hard on myself. If I could change anything it would be not to have finals. At Mankato East, they don't do finals at the end of the semester and I think Mankato West shouldn't either.

I have had a good experience at mankato west high school, the faculty works hard to make it a safe space for everyone. As I am entering my senior year, I wish I would have more opportunities for help with deciding on a college, scholarships, and majors. Ive been going into it all blind and it has been a hard process for me to navigate.

There are a few good teachers, if there's no school work then you are just supposed to sit there. Overall it's an environment that isn't loved by many students.
