Overall the school is not that bad but there does not feel like there's that much college preparedness resources out there. The counselors usually don't know what they are talking about so you have to do it yourself.

High School has been both a mix of highs and lows. The best part of my experience at high school is the friendships I have made and the excitement of school events, like sports games. At Mankato Wes,t we have a pretty good football team and they have made it to state a few times It's fun to go to the state game with all my classmates and cheer on the football team. The worst part is the pressure on my academic performance. I try to make sure I am trying my best at everything academically but sometimes I don't do as well as I want to and am hard on myself. If I could change anything it would be not to have finals. At Mankato East, they don't do finals at the end of the semester and I think Mankato West shouldn't either.

Made the choice to move to Minnesota for our kids education. The level of education has dropped over the years. Hopefully educators will go back to the core responsibility of education and get these kids more prepared to function later in life.
