Charter places an emphasis on community and student-led learning. Character development is a bit part of the ethos of the school.

They yell at 4th graders for talking in the hallway. The punish you with washing dishes during recess if you are late.The teachers cannot keep their cool. Every teacher stereotype you've ever heard of is here. All the good teachers leave because of how bad it is, or they are fired. They have the lowest level of teaching degrees, they are public for the school to see. The building is 25 years old. Literally. Hasn't been renovated. We cant afford a JANITOR. WE HAVE NO JANITOR. its disgusting.

As a parent of two children who are in different grade levels, MCCPS clearly succeeds in its fulfilling its charter of creating community not just between students and faculty, but also between the school and students' families. The school has continued to go downhill dramatically since the departure of Dr. Cullen-Hamzeh. It has been a steady decline. Dr. Cullen-Hamzeh brought energy and excitement. You can see it in the faces of the students and staff. What a loss for the MCCPS community.
