Marietta Center for Advanced Academics, also known as MCAA, is in the northern portion of the Southeast Marietta neighborhood. The school teaches advanced learning, with 90% of teachers certified as gifted teachers. Its mission is to provide a safe and positive culture where students apply collaboration, communication, critical thinking and creativity as members of a diverse learning community. MCAA is a public magnet school that teaches grades three through five and was given the 2019 U.S. Department of Education National Blue Ribbon Award. This school is Georgia's first STEM-certified school with a video production studio and fully equipped science labs for hands-on learning in science, technology, engineering and math. The campus also has school gardens and a coding lab. Multiple guest speakers stop by to speak with students about engineering from Georgia Tech and the U.S. Department of Defense. The school has around 300 students, with each student receiving a Chromebook for a wireless learning environment. Marietta Center for Advanced Academics provides its students with the necessary tools they need to succeed in life while also being challenged academically.

My two daughters go here and are thriving. Both are extremely smart but learn differently MCAA teachers catered to both learning styles. Though the curriculum is challenging its not overwhelming. The entire faculty and staff are awesome and they love this school!
