Marietta High School is a public high school in the Southwest Marietta neighborhood. With its tagline of “Special. Different. Better.” the school strives to prepare students for the future from ninth through twelfth grade. The school offers Advanced Placement and International Baccalaureate courses in English, mathematics, science, social studies, foreign language and fine arts. The Youth Apprenticeship program, work study programs, and the Executive Internship program afford students the opportunity to gain valuable worksite experience while still in high school. Students have the opportunity to choose from culinary arts and graphics, communications and video production, financing, nursing, and architecture, among other options. In addition, the institute offers Career/Technical Programs for vocational studies, as well as Special education, Limited English Proficiency and gifted classes. Students may also receive college credit while earning their high school diploma, through the dual enrollment program. Along with academic studies, Marietta High encourages students to be well rounded with over 70 clubs and activities for students to join, including foreign language clubs, drama clubs, musical clubs, and several student unions and honors programs. The school also puts an emphasis on collaboration in regards to student education, between students, teachers and administrators.

For the most part I have had a great experience so far at Marietta High School. I will say that the biggest change that they need to make is with creating the schedules. There has to be a better way for accuracy and efficiency.

I was really surprised at how professional and excellent the leadership is here. The teachers my student had this past year were relatable and understanding for the most part. The counselors for very helpful. Most of all, the school worked with me, the parent. My student had a great experience.

My experience at Marietta High School overall has been a pleasant one. As an IB student, I was given a lot of support and resources to ensure my success in the future. My school offers many resources such as SAT/ACT preparation and college advising for juniors and seniors. While the school is rich in terms of academic resources, we lack school spirit. What I would like to see change in the future is more involvement from the students, but at the end of the day that is up to them.

Marietta High School is a pretty good school, and a lot of emphasis is placed on education (as it should be). All students have a fair chance to challenge themselves, reach their potential and get college ready.

This school has its ups and downs. The new tardy policy at this school is ridiculous! If a your child gets 4 tardies your child is in detention missing class. And the list goes on..This means waking up late is a problem. It's good they care about attendance but that's taking it too far...You can't c...
