Located in the northern portion of Southeast Marietta, Marietta Sixth Grade Academy is a grade six public school that puts the student at the center of learning concerning the world around them. Enrollment is over 600 students with a relaxed dress code.
Marietta Sixth Grade Academy is an International Baccalaureate Middle Years Program school. The school focuses on local, state and national curricula in combination with arts, foreign language and technology. This robust curriculum empowers students in the program to be real-world critical and reflective thinkers.
Academic programs are English, accelerated math, earth science and social studies. Athletic programs include basketball and football. Electives offered at this school include art, band, chorus, orchestra and theatre arts. Marietta Sixth Grade Academy offers many clubs that students can join based on their personal interests such as a hair styling club, book club, anime club and gardening club to name a few.
The school participates in the Learn 24/7 program that allows students to check out library books with their student numbers and utilize databases online. Students can have a balance of rigorous academic work while also being part of a club that they are passionate about at Marietta Sixth Grade Academy.
