Sawyer Road Elementary School has a mission statement of education based on inquiry and life experience. The school provides International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme to all students. Arts and world language programs are offered in order to create well-rounded students. The school’s programs integrate technology into learning — a STEAM lab called the Starfish Exploratorium makes learning about science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics fun for students. Each student is exposed to art, music, drama and Spanish through daily programming.
Outside the classroom, Sawyer Road Elementary School has a student garden and observational beehive where students can learn about nature and gardening. Two playgrounds and a soccer field provide opportunities to play and have fun, along with a gaga ball pit – an alternative to dodge ball – that was built by community volunteers.
Before and after-school programs offer supervised homework, games and arts. The school’s teachers have earned Marietta City Schools Teacher of the Year Awards and Atlanta Braves Most Valuable Teacher Awards. Sawyer Road Elementary School, home to the mascot Sawyer Road Starfish, is a place for children to start the path to lifelong learning.

I would recommend any & all parents trust their kids education & life experience at this school. Honestly, I'm stunned it's only a "4" on Great Schools at the time of this writing.

Love SRE! My oldest son just ended 5th grade and my second son 3rd grade.
