Founded in 1953, St. Joseph Catholic School is a pre-K through eighth grade school that prides itself on academic excellence rooted in the Catholic tradition. The school has been awarded the United States Department of Education’s National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence twice. In addition, the school’s students scored in the top 15% of all U.S. schools in both language arts and math, earning St. Joseph’s the “Exemplary High Performing School” honor. The school serves approximately 450 students from about 300 families from four area counties. There’s a computer for every student at St. Joseph’s, so children are exposed to technology from the start. In addition to the basic curriculum, the school offers a variety of arts programs, gifted classes in language arts and math, and Spanish classes. In every grade, students participate in community service projects. And parents volunteer more than 7,000 hours a year at the school. The welcoming environment at St. Joseph’s Catholic School strives to focus on the education of the whole child.

St. Joseph's is an excellent K-8 school that prepared me greatly for highschool. With an affordable tuition and a wonderful team of staff, you can't go wrong with this school. I've been here for 8 years and every day is an amazing new adventure.

We are beyond proud of what this 2 time Blue Ribbon of Excellence school has done for our children. SJCS has given our children the academic knowledge and skills needed to help them farthertheir advancements in the future. However, what we are most happy with is the life of faith that they instill and guide in the children. It is so comforting that the life we teach at home is further developed at school. SJCSreaches past just the students and is truly a family looking out for eachother and helping others.

As a student, parent, and grandparent of the Catholic School System, I can definitely recommend St. Joe's. The teachers are informed and committed, and the curriculum is extensive and structured. All in all, it's a very good school that prepares students for the next level.

The school has gone downhill as evidenced by student and staff attrition. The teachers are the only pillars left holding the school together. Once one leaves, there will be a domino effect. Not a good school. There are lots of other choices. The principal rules with an iron fist and treats the female students with kid gloves. The teachers are out of touch with what is currently going on.

If you are a rich white and willing to throw money at the school, you will be welcome. No diversity among staff. We are very disappointed. We had so much hope.
