Founded in 1953, St. Joseph Catholic School is a pre-K through eighth grade school that prides itself on academic excellence rooted in the Catholic tradition. The school has been awarded the United States Department of Education’s National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence twice. In addition, the school’s students scored in the top 15% of all U.S. schools in both language arts and math, earning St. Joseph’s the “Exemplary High Performing School” honor. The school serves approximately 450 students from about 300 families from four area counties. There’s a computer for every student at St. Joseph’s, so children are exposed to technology from the start. In addition to the basic curriculum, the school offers a variety of arts programs, gifted classes in language arts and math, and Spanish classes. In every grade, students participate in community service projects. And parents volunteer more than 7,000 hours a year at the school. The welcoming environment at St. Joseph’s Catholic School strives to focus on the education of the whole child.

Great school, it is like a family. High academic excellence, with great enrichment. My high schoolers was so prepared. It has great teachers,students and family involvement..

I was at St. Joe's k-8 and I enjoyed every bit of it. The people there become like family and you know almost everybody. I feel like I was prepared well for high school.

The school has gone downhill as evidenced by student and staff attrition. The teachers are the only pillars left holding the school together. Once one leaves, there will be a domino effect. Not a good school. There are lots of other choices. The principal rules with an iron fist and treats the female students with kid gloves. The teachers are out of touch with what is currently going on.

If you are a rich white and willing to throw money at the school, you will be welcome. No diversity among staff. We are very disappointed. We had so much hope.
