It is a small community that can be very uplifting and supportive. But there is not a lot of diversity. Crab Orchard High School is located in a small, friendly community. The teachers personally know all of the students and there is a low student to teacher ratio. I love this school. You can be yourself here and not be afraid to get help if you need it. And if you don't understand there are special classes for people who need even more help.

The teachers at my school are very fair, kind, and helpful when it comes to grading and helping kids learn. They make sure everyone understands before moving on. I would honestly recommend going to this school. Not just because of the support the teachers give you, but because it is small and you will have more one on one learning.

Since we are a small school, we can't offer many of the big clubs. However, we do offer FCCLA, FCA, book club, art club, strategic studies, beta club, scholar bowl, and a few others. I would say that a lot of students take part in FCCLA and FCA, but the same 10-15 students will try to be in beta, scholar bowl, and strategic studies, but that is because they are more school oriented than the other students.
