GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

My experience at Martins Ferry has been amazing. Most of the staff have a genuine care for students learning and want to see the children succeed. Some of the teachers seem to pick favorites in certain classes, but most of these teachers teach classes that are not required. The administrative staff is very helpful in all areas they are required.

What I loved about Martins Ferry High was the positive feedback from the teachers. However, what they could've worked on was pushing the students to do more and achieve to their fullest because some kids don't have that natural motive.

Martins Ferry High school is very prideful in all aspects of its enviroment. Most of the staff is caring and very fun to be around.

Horrible. I was disrespected by staff on multiple occasions. And getting my needs met for colleges requirements is extremely difficult since the guidance counselor doesn’t do his job effectively enough.
