After graduating from Mason City High School, I truly missed the connections and bridges I formed with the teachers from that place. The teachers there are like a second family and treat every student with the most amount of respect and care, and strive to make sure every student succeeds,

My experience with Mason City High School has been a exciting but a tough journey. When I had first came to this school I had to make some adjustments because I am use to diversity but here in Iowa there is not much of that. Learning to adapt was a tough journey but I learned to communicate with my peers and I have made some good quality friends now that I have been here. I am open to opportunities that I have not had before when I was going to school in Chicago. Mason City High school saved me from my old habits and now I want to continue my career to set myself up for a better life in the future. This high school has made me realize that nothing is impossible and the staff and teacher are very supporting of the goals kids are trying to achieve.

The teachers do an amazing job of getting students what they need in terms of help and extra assignments if needed. My biggest concern throughout high school was what fights were going to happen or what code was going to be called. There were tons of fights and no resolutions or the wrong resolutions to many of them. There were also times where soaps were removed from bathrooms which was very unsanitary.

Many good teachers, but many poor ones and administration afraid of setting moral standards. Many difficulties also come by the overly involved and regulating government pushing false and non-education items under the guise of stopping bullying or being kind(glorifying) to alternative lifestyles.
