GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

The school has a really great blanket effect. It sort of is a cover all small school. With this you really have to be part of everything so I feel like it gets you pretty ready for college.

One thing I like about MHS is they get you prepared for college and can take a lot of college classes to get you further ahead. One thing I would like to see change is everyone at MHS. The coaches are terrible. They don't care about what you think or they don't really care about you. They only care about winning and that's it. The staff in the office needs some help too. The front desk lady is very disrespectful and rude. Everyone in there is rude and they are always right. Honestly, I hate Mason High School. I'm glad i'm Graduating in 2 months so I can be out of here.

I'm currently enrolled as a senior at Mason Highschool. The staff and administration here are great and generally care for you on a personal level. My strife with Mason is the students. Essentially there are two kinds of people that go to school here. Your athletes and the country kids, and if you don't fit in, your pretty much excluded from everything socially, as a nerd I can vouch for this. The food is terrible but they allow us to eat off campus so that's nice.

They do not like people from outside and push out students that don’t conform. Numerous kids go to online schools because the admins and teachers bully the students. Extreme punishment occurs regularly. They have had three or four Superintendents because they push them out too.

One of my biggest concerns moving to Mason years ago was whether the quality of the education was going to be up to par. Mason ISD far exceeded my expectations. This Spring, my third child will graduate from Mason High School. My oldest two have already graduated magna cum laude from major universit...

This school has great teachers, a great curriculum, and a wonderful athletic department. The only issues I have with this school are the students and the office staff. The two groups listed above are very, very biased. Unless you have money or are from a ranching family, your child will have a hard...
