As a Montbello Children’s Network member, McGlone Academy is dedicated to closing the gap in achievement and becoming a top performer among Colorado schools. It has made significant gains even during difficult times. The school aims for students to leave biliterate in English and Spanish, skilled in science, technology and mathematics, and with an appreciation for the arts. There was a time when McGlone Academy, then known as Roy McGlone Elementary, was ranked among the lowest performing schools in Denver. The school underwent dramatic and successful changes and became the thriving school it is today, serving students from Early Childhood Education to the eighth grade. Students are supported by a team including a nurse, social worker, speech pathologist and school psychologist. The school requires uniforms, but the guidelines are simple and relaxed enough to accommodate everyone. A fantastic and creative playground and middle school sports are offered to build strong bodies, foster teamwork and encourage play. McGlone Academy’s vision is to foster empathy and wisdom while promoting student achievement.

This school has no respect the teachers constantly harassing my child never calls when something happens to my child they only call if my child has done something to get in trouble DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILDREN HERE PRINCIPAL IS NO HELP (Mr. Cifuentes) .

This is an innovative school that teaches 21st century skills in a meaningful way. There is no rote memorization but rather connected and deep learning. I was at this school for two years and left thinking that it was typical and I could find something similar. There is no other school quite like it...

My son loves McGlone elementary. He has been to DCIS Ford, and Maxwel and neither of those elementaries compare to McGlone. They are very hands on and proactive! I'd recommend this school to anyone!
