GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I study abroad this year in Arkansas. My high school was not my choice but being in Mena is the last place a student would like to be in, the level is low, the administration is bad and a lack of money to take care of the education.

Mena Highschool has been quite the experience for me. It is highly focused on sports, which I do not participate in. The arts programs are my favorite things to plbe involved in. I have found myself participating in school plays and accepted into the honor choir. This a school that many people could enjoy. The teachers are friendly and do their best to help in any way they can. We try to stay involved in the community and build a family with our peers.

Mena High School is your average high school, with all the aspects that can be found at any other school. While in my high school career I have been in the advanced classes which has increased my ACT score each time I have taken it. There is a variety of classes to take from the plain and average ones to the concurrent and AP classes. It also offers many different sports and clubs.
