At Paloma Valley High School there is a variety of good and bad mixed together. To start with the good, the teachers are extremely kind and so are the security guards. The science teachers specifically are the best. The bad would be the food, other staff, and the upkeep of the school.

It's a great school if you decide to take the AP classes. However the basic General Education and classes to graduate are very basic and some of the teachers are problematic. I would like to see more counselors care about what is best for their students instead of what is best for them and their image. I've had a great experience with all of my AP teachers as they are the teachers that are devoted to teaching and the betterment of their students. However safety is another thing. This school gets a lot of school shooting threats as well as a lot of lockdowns. It makes me nervous that one day it won't be a false alarm. I feel these threats are preventable but they do not take action until it is too late. I've had the privilege of getting a great counselor but a lot of people complain about mine. I think it is very biased and dependent on the student. For example I am a hard working student and I think if a student who is not as hard working as I am would get ignored instead getting help

I can't say for certain, considering the fact that I've only been here for almost a month. I have realized that the students have much more school spirit, a lot of them are athletes, and the school itself seem to be pushing for everyone to go to college. However admin and teachers may leave a lot to be desired.

I have been here for a short time and this school is my favorite place. If you dig deep into information about this school, you may stumble onto a Wikipedia article about it with a "homophobic allegations" tab on it describing the school not wanting to announce the GSA club. Let me be the one to tel...
