Mesa Verde is a pretty good school. It's not overly competitive, though it's still pretty stimulating. One thing I didn't like when I went there was how difficult the transition between grades was, but it might be different for others.

This school was okay, although a lot of academic pressure can make students feel like they're drowning. The teachers aren't approachable, and the "zero tolerance bullying" rule means that teachers turn a blind eye towards actual bullying, but are quick to punish a student defending themselves for once. If teachers were a bit more welcoming and the school did something about bullying, Mesa Verde would be great. Also, they stress dress code, but most of the P.E. uniforms violate dress code for girls.
