At Brownsville Middle School, students grow to be leaders, developing both academically and personally during their formative sixth- through eighth-grade years. The home of the Falcons, Brownsville Middle encourages its over four hundred students to soar every day, instilling a sense of community in the diverse student body. Students are required to take courses in English/language arts, mathematics, science, social science, and physical education. Electives round out the curriculum, allowing kids to explore their interests. Students who qualify may get started on senior high classes offered by Florida Virtual School, allowing an early graduation. The school’s student services offerings include counsellors who can help students make good decisions on issues that affect their life in and out of school. Outside the classroom, students can participate in clubs and extracurricular activities. On the palm tree-lined campus, there’s space to play sports on the open fields and basketball courts or hang out with friends on the benches in the shaded pavilion. All around the school building, you’ll see murals that add color and personality to the campus, brightening each day of learning for the students. Brownsville is not the school I remember I graduated from there in 2002, it was a great school then. Now it isn't, its dangerous they have 15yrs and 16yrs old here. I believe it's a bad thing. Brownsville may not be the best school ever well no school is....it gave me 3 great years of my life, I loved my teachers there! Great learning enviroment and positive vibes. But there Is a lot violence with students here..they need to learn to respect eachother and need more discipline and respect...
