A majority of the staff is personable and easy to get along with, so long you are respectful. Some aren't, but that is bound to occur. There's frequent fighting and threats, but teachers get involved to stop any that do happen. Opportunities are often changing as staff change their mind per year. Good club space, and good college/AP opportunities.

Middletown High School is a school that is constantly changing and growing. While the school may not have the best reputation and is known for being things such as "ghetto", that is not necessarily true. The school is becoming more modern, more advanced and more respectable every year. There is a clear effort among the district staff to improve the school.

When I first came here, it seemed all right at first, but the respect here is not so great and academic learning here is not so great either. There are good people here who are willing to help and most teachers are devoted to their teachings, but overall, violence can occur and I only feel like I'm getting dumber along the way.

While the teachers are generally supportive and respectful, the students hold the school back. Many are very unintelligent and lack impulse control, making it harder for advanced students to excel, as the pace of learning is often held back by those who do not engage or disrupt the class. The school...

Middletown Schools have really come a long way in the last 10 years. I see a drastic improvement from when my youngest went there, to now my oldest. Things are improving but it takes time. Keep up the good work!

I had a few awesome teachers, but most were cynical and didn't really care whether we were educated or not. I took AP classes, and advanced courses, and never passed an AP exam. Some teachers didn't expect enough, so students didn't care to try. I had a great experience in high school, because of my...
