I had a great year but a bad year, it was hard for me to make friends and get comfortable in a new environment especially since I came in from a different society, moved to a different county. I was a brown skin girl who couldn't find her place but was still able to manage well. I cross paths with many opportunities that helped build my academic level for the better. I didn't get to join any sports, even though I wanted to cheer, I was apart of the NHS for maintaining a high gpa. The teachers are great but some treated others better one another. Overall I give my highschool experience 6/10.

James River is a good school if you have connections with at least one teacher or admin. Most of the people at James River are nice and genuinely care about you, while others, it seems, are only there to make your life harder. In general, its a fine school. Just stay away from bathrooms and do your best to find at least one friend.

I had two children graduate from James River. James River was an outstanding school and they had an excellent experience. Both kids had high academic standards and both were multisport athletes. Change River does an amazing job teaching kids to be young adults.

James River is an amazing school. It’s like a family atmosphere. The kids get along well and the faculty and staff do a great job. Athletics are hands down the best in the county across the board.

We moved to a great neighborhood as we had heard James River High School was a great school. After 1 year here I can tell you it is the worst school we have ever attended. The teacher lack of care, time and involvement shows regardless of when they are "in person" or "virtual". I'm stunned that the...

I love this school! JRHS has the highest number of AP courses offered of ANY county school. Additionally they give the second highest number of AP tests and students consistently score above both the state, national and county averages across the board. Their leadership center is top notch and stude...
