I am currently about to be a junior in high school at Lake Forest Academy. I got accepted into three private schools, but I chose LFA. MMS prepared me for my classes, both regular and AP. Even though I was only at MMS for Junior High, I was able to go at my own pace, which allowed me to advance as much as I wanted. For example, in math, because of that I was able to take Advanced Pre Calc/Algebra 2 going in my freshman year. This helped me to take AP Calc in my sophomore year which I ended up getting an A in the class and a 5 on the AP test. If I wasn't at MMS, where I was able to advance as much as I wanted I wouldn't have been able to take these classes so early in my high school life. MMS also helped a lot with my sciences. In Junior High we learned both chemistry and biology, this has definitely helped me with my High School science classes. I took both Bio 1 and Advanced Chemistry last year and both were easy A's for me because I had past experience with these subjects at MMS.

There are a few opportunities for sports and robotics but there aren't many.

The technology aspect is impressive for a school of this age group. Tutoring is not needed with the Montessori education. There are no guidance counselors nor a school nurse, which they should have.

This school punishes, does not feel safe, is unpredictable due to a disregulated head of school. School has been sued many times for failing to provide support to students with needs.
