This kindergarten through sixth grade private school is an alternative for West End residents with younger children. Besides a standard education, the Good Shepherd School offers extracurricular activities such as band for fourth through sixth graders, Chess club, and Lego robotics. Here, fourth through sixth graders are inspired to create and program their own functioning robot, and in turn encourage their education through fun activities such as these. When it comes to outdoor activities, the Good Shepherd School has a full playground along with a giant sandbox for children’s imaginations to run wild in. There’s also a basketball court and a Free Little Library for students to exchange books with each other. Education at a young age is crucial in a child’s development, and the Good Shepherd School is certainly able to provide the learning that West End parents want for their children.
