We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

CATA is an amazing and unique place, putting a lot of focus on the arts. It even had its own recording studio for music that was accessible to students. The performing arts section of CATA is truly impressive. The staff really cares about the students, but a couple of the teachers didn't have the best methods. However, almost all of the teachers at CATA are outstanding.

I love how inclusive the school is with all of their programs, they have all different kinds of programs for different kids. For example, we have a lot of band kids and theater kids who work together to create shows for our school.

I have had an extremely overall positive experience at Central Academy of Technology and Arts throughout my time in high school. The degree of specialization provided by academic pathways is unmatched by any school I have attended. The atmosphere is supportive, creative, and unique, and I would not want to go to school anywhere else.

He plans to study Computer Science in College and was able to start with some next level courses due to credits received on his testing scores. I have another student in the MPRA program and there is creative classes w...

I have two teens at this school and both love it (they commute 40 mins each way just to attend). They really enjoy the athletic program (soccer), which results in their sense of belonging and school pride. The teachers (all but one) have been excellent, and both kids like their academy programs. I'd...

Honestly this school makes me look forward to going to school. the work load isn't that bad, the teachers are help full and seem to genuinely care. Since the students all made a conscious decision to go there instead of their home school most of them seem to want to be there and are mostly lovely an...

CATA is painted as a great school where everyone gets along and knows each other and a school that challenges their students. These are all LIES. The counselors say that honors classes are "not actually honors classes. The curriculum is identical to the CP [college prep/regular] classes." The studen...
