I enjoyed my time at Parkwood High School. I played baseball all 4 years, first on the JV then 3 years on Varsity. I was also the Student Athletic Dept intern first semester of my senior year, and I spent a lot of time with the football, and basketball coaches and team. I announced their games. I go to college with several of my high school friends. Parkwood HS was a great experience for me.

I love Parkwood High school the teachers and staff are so welcoming. We are a small and diverse environment though, sometimes this leads me to feel slightly unsafe in my school. When you come from a small boring town people look to find conflict which can lead to violence here. The staff and county try their best to ensure our safety for example they send many violent kids to school together where they offer more security. Though we aren't great at sports we still try to support our teams.

I've been to fourteen separate schools in my life, so I've seen great schools and horrible schools. Parkwood seems to land right in the center. The school is obviously struggling for control with financial and school board related issues. The buildings are old and uncomfortable, the curriculum is outdated. But the teachers care. Even if they don't teach well, they do care about how their students fare both at home and in the classroom.

Great school, veteran staff who care a lot, I'm so happy the Bond was passed to replaced the aging building. These students deserve the best!

Bullying is overlooked at this school, most teachers don't care about their students grades and often give up on their students
