Monta Vista High School is THE stereotypical Bay Area high school: super intense, Asian, academic, STEM-heavy. The people here are very smart, and that's made obvious through college admissions season, but there's a high emphasis on getting into prestigious colleges from day 1. Definitely an element of elitism, but if you find the right groups, it's not that bad.
