York school does not make decisions with the students best interest in mind. There are multiple teachers that harass and bully the students. The only thing that seems important to the faculty is how the school looks from the outside. Do not send your children here, they will not be happy.

Teachers and staff are excellent, keeping communication open involving parents and students. School is diverse and my child feels safe and comfortable among the staff and his peers. We are at the point where we are preparing our student to leave for college soon, and York has been there to support us every step of the way.

I feel that York has exceptional academics, and put academics first. You can go in to teachers during office hours, and get help with anything you may need. There is someone for everyone at York, and that is why, even if you may be in the lowest grade, you can connect with older grades, and they will accept you as their own. I love the community at York. In general is why I love York school.

I was a former student at York and left halfway through High School. The student body at York is very small and the spirit is little to none. I felt almost ashamed going to this school, in sports they are horrible. Academically they had litterly nothing to offer but the bare minimum. The students in...

York High School’s poor administration stifles independent thinking and creates a toxic environment. The leadership is not good, enforcing rigid rules and overwhelming workloads that emphasize “rigor” over students’ personal time or mental state. Concerns are ignored, and the culture is divided, wit...

Dwindling enrollment has led to cuts in academic programs such as French, band, Latin and other humanities electives. Over twelve faculty and staff left at the end of the last school year, which is never a good sign. Some amazing teachers, but an administration that seems in over their heads. Appare...

I graduated from York about 5 years ago and now my little brother is attending and he loves it just as much as I did. It a nurturing environment, fostering intelligent and creative people.
