GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

The best part of MHS is the availability of various courses. Many AP and Dual Enrollment classes are offered as well as many unique electives. Another thing about MHS that I enjoy is the size. Although I see familiar faces everywhere, I am always meeting new people and I will never know every student. Our school spirit is also strong. The worst part of MHS is staff who are not prepared and constantly changing principles and other admin.

Everything about Montgomery is great, there are a couple things I would change. Sports programs for the Montgomery High School are not funded the same as the sister high school in the district. I think they should be funded the same so that students at MHS can have the same facilities and opportunities as the ones in the rest of the district.

Montgomery is a great school for academic; their college readiness programs are unmatched. On the athletics side, however, there are no booster clubs so all the sports' teams have very little funding, and the facilities need updating.

The teachers and staff are continuously providing a safe environment while teaching in todays challenging world. There are many great future ready programs and college prep has been fantastic!

MHS is a good school that has the potential to be great. I'm hoping that with a smaller student body (with the opening of a new hs in the district) and new leadership that the focus will shift to better academics rather than better football (or cheer or dance or basketball, etc.) teams.

The basketball program is a comepletley negative and hostile environment. 30 Kids have quit between the 2015-16 schoo year and the 2016-2017 program because of the mentally abusive coaches. There have been many complaints and the two coaches that run the whole program have not been fired yet. The di...

Montgomery high school AP program is top notch. for the most part, great teachers that take the extra time to help you and really care that you are doing well. chem AP was taught at basically college level by Mrs. walker and fully prepared me for chem classes at A&M.
