I'd have to say that the school is an overall enjoyable experience. There are some minor setbacks regarding quality, but it's nothing you wouldn't find in other places.

My experience at LCHS (Lawrence County High School) was great. I learned many of things dealing with school and not dealing with school. It is a great place to be and provides a family atmosphere. What I would like to see changed at LCHS is to have more classes or electives to choose from. For example, the school doesn't have an art class which is something a lot people would love to get into. Many people don't want to be limited to very few options in such a great place like LCHS. That is my experience, what I have learned, and what I think should be changed at Lawrence County High School.

In a consolidated high school, if you are not from Monticello, then your child doesn't have a chance in sports, scholarship...

LCHS has educated all three of my children. The teachers here are of high quality, and do a wonderful job. I totally support thier JROTC program, with what they teach in these young adults. And the ones I have met are fine young men &women. A fine school to educate your children.
