GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

At Hale Ray, it's a small tight-knit community because we're in such as small town. That makes it more difficult for diversity goals and we don't have as many options for sports/clubs/experiences that the bigger, wealthier schools have. However, the community is very nice and welcoming:making sure that each student has a chance to dream big.

I think that Hale Ray does a good job preparing students. It is evident that all the teachers truly care about their students.

The student body was given a lot of freedom, though the dress code was restrictive and it sometimes felt like staff didn't really care about students' personal struggles and workload.

It is a small town high school, with all that entails. I am a few years out and after college (graduated in 2012, my younger sister graduated in 2016). It provides mediocre education, limited academics (when I was there they had just started offering an AP curriculum ...10 or 15 years after most sch...

This school system is not friendly towards parents and children with special needs or who are not a part of the status quo. It was a battle to get my son the accommodations he needed and my daughter was pushed through instead of engaged. They did not address her reading comprehension problems until...

My son is currently in this school and I feel as if the administration, teachers, and coaches all go the extra mile for the student. They challenge and encourage their students to set high goals and to reach them. My son absolutely loves this school and has grown so independent and confident since a...
