I think I's a good school, the academics care about their students and the buildings are in good conditions. Also has everything necessary for a good learning experience.

I like the close knit-ness of the classrooms and the dynamic as a small town school. I do not like the fact that Mount Vernon High does not have many advanced programs in place for more adept students.

My favorite thing about Mount Vernon High School is the people. The students are supportive of eachother and the teachers create a living environment. If I could change one thing about my school I would hope that more students would get more involved. I would love to see more involvement in clubs and school events.

Horrible high school went here my sophomore year. Only had a couple good teachers, extremely cliquish, especially the Ag department. Most teachers pick favorite, and the students are extremely rude. Do not send your kid here.
