GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Although Johnson County High School has been a wonderful chapter in my life, there have also been some difficult moments. All things considered, I would say that my biggest concerns are for my safety and my capacity to absorb knowledge from the JCHS faculty. More qualified professors are something I would like to see at JCHS, not only for myself but also for my classmates. Positively, I have had fun playing baseball and football with the folks who have become like family to me.

Many parts of this school are overall good, but many departments are underfunded and using older resources. Far too much funding to the football team.

Johnson county high school is small but helpful. We have a wonderful health science selection and a good football team. The teacher are respectful and care for their students and staff

Overall my...

I hate this school. I know that hate is a strong word but it is greatly needed to describe my opinion of this school. Honestly it makes me depressed and not like school at all. I have been in tennis and robotics both of which are under funded and so no one in them is able to really enjoy what they l...

All three of my children attended schools here. Although not perfect, most of the teachers are positive and energetic. Sometimes they actually bend over backwards to support special needs.
