Muncie Central High School is a unique experience for sure. The culture of the school really depends on what kind of classes you are in. Some of the teachers are amazing, and some are very bad. It is honestly an all or nothing situation.

I love Muncie Central High School because I always had teachers that cared about me and the quality of my education. The principal and teachers did a great job making the atmosphere pleasant and fun to be in. We had AP and dual credit classes which were extremely beneficial to me.

My 9th grade daughter should NEVER have to experience "lock downs" and "police escorts to the bathroom". It even has it's own police force and a police dog on campus every day. This is high school, not prison! The students are taught to test and by simply completing homework and showing up for class...

Have 3 children, 2 of whom graduated from Muncie Central in 2011 and 2012, respectively (both are currently in college), and 1 of whom attends Muncie Central currently. In 2009/10, I had concerns for the school environment, but never questioned the academics; my children, however, were in the Honors...

My son is a sophomore here, they got more strict with fighting after the state came down on them. I have to say though that most of the teachers he really likes, but his Algebra 2 teacher is not at all a good teacher. He pushes the kids too fast and does not try to help the students be able to pass...
