Utterly focused on sports and athletics. Administration has no interest in approaching school-related issues with any humanity or respect to the students personal life. "Good Ol' Boy" style.

I went to school at Murphysboro High School from the second semester of my sophomore year and will be graduating from this high school. I was apart of the cheer team which I no longer am because of administration and coaching failures, I am still apart of multiple clubs which I have found a lot of joy in.

My school teaches students very well and gets them prepared for college. I also feel safe and Also the teachers and very nice and if you find a teacher you connect well with you feel like there is a safe place to talk about any personal problem in or outside of school. The school Food is very nice and gets you full enough to make it through your day. We have nice classrooms and Amazing clubs you can join. So if you're a student that is scared of life after you graduate and don't feel like you're ready MHS with get you beyond prepared. The only thing is if you are at MHS or come here if you don't try your gonna fail because the teachers can't help a student who will not try

Murphysboro High School is an overall average high school experience, but it has a lot of room for improvement.

this school is better than some in the areas, but lacks some of the qualities needed for a good learning environment. the administration needs to assess the growing issues in the day to day life a student. i do not mind attending here, but the student life could be improved.
