I have attended this school since fifth grade. My experience here has been great. I really enjoyed this experience because the teachers really cared about my future success. This year, however; some of the teachers are biased and have very obvious favorites. Other than this year, my experience at this school has been amazing. The class culture is also very great as well.

First year at VCS, its a nice school with lots of opportunities. The people in sports do really good and this school has won 3rd-1st in State competitions multiple times. The dances are pretty fun/nice as well, I helped set one up and that was pretty cool. There's a ton of foreign exchange students which ups the diversity, but there's also a lot of white people. I see them joke about racism, but I don't think they're racist (I wont deny it might be offensive still). Some teachers might not care about their students, but students also don't care to connect, so you won't have the best teacher - student relationship unless you engage with your teachers. Most people are nice and I do see that maybe half or more of the school is somewhat LGBTQ phobic. Especially towards trans kids, so that's kinda messed up. Some teachers are even openly transphobic.

This school is horrible. They don't let you do anything. There is no freedom in anything. You had to sit and eat your lunch quietly with no talking or you would get in trouble. Then proceed to make us go outside no matter the temperature and you couldn't go inside unless there was a big enough storm...

Not good. Had my kids there for almost 10 years between my two. At first they were excellent in making sure kids do well socially. Once the VP Matt McDaniel left all went down. Was told when there was an issue that "It's the age". The individual who told me that had taken the place of Matt McDaniel....

I highly suggest you don't go here. Although it is very safe, they lack in almost everything else. There are few sports and no tutoring. They kick you out of the lunch room while you're eating and you can't talk. After being a student here, Kindergarten through 8th, I believe this school is very saf...
