Gulf Coast is a great school especially for the area. They definitely have the stereotype of rich white kids. With that comes decent academics, but little diversity and not the greatest sports teams while having an insane budget that's been floundered on programs no one really uses. Overall, its a pretty great school. It gets the job done.

Overall, it's a good school. The only thing I'd really complain about is how unnecessarily mean admin is. I feel like every time I walk in there, they're taking their bad days out on me. It's not like I'm rude or anything either, I always say "Good Morning", "Please", "Thank you", "How are you?" and get nothing but silence, or a scolding for a centimeter of my stomach showing.

The school offers lots of sport and music opportunities however academics are completely shuffled every single school year. Teachers are moved in and out of schools yearly making the academics very inconsistent.

Kim lonergan singlehandedly destroyed my daughter’s school. She is a dictator and doesn’t listen to anybody. Most of the good teachers left. Thankfully they fired her and her sister. Good riddance.

Gulf Coast is known for its high academic scoring. They offer AP, AICE, and numerous honor level courses. Several successful sports teams, an abundance of school sponsored club options, and the absolute best band in the state. Yes, there are also groups of kids that drink and experiment with drugs b...
