I think overall the experience has been very good. Mainly, the school prepares you very well for college with councilors, community service requirements, etc. I wish the school had made it easier for students to take AP classes earlier to have a more competitive profile for colleges. I also think that the school spirit is low in comparison to other schools. I am unsure why this is, but I wish a stronger school-wide community existed.

NHS has over 1700+ students. Academics are solid; some teachers are great and some not so great; college counseling is mediocre; not much diversity; facilities are old and need to be updated; theater program and director is amazing, but facilities need updating.

As a parent who relocated to Needham because of the great things I had heard about this school, I must say that I am very disappointed. If you grew up in this area, I am sure it is a great experience. If you are a newcomer, you will feel frustrated and alone. If you are relocating to Boston, do not...
