New Bern High School is an overall great school. There are teachers who love what they do and are willing to set the right path for the future generations.

The best part about my high school experience has to be the teachers. They all seem to care about their students and they to out of their way to help you. There were just a few that allowed their classes to get out of control and got too loud for my ears. Overall I would give them 4.5 stars. The worst part about my high school experience are the kids I go to school with. I think they are disrespectful and they don't know how to act. Also, the bathrooms are very, very nasty!!

New Bern High School has some great committed students but have a lot of faults. Our school is dirty, does not help to prepare us for college, and the faculty is useless. The only thing people seem to care about is sports and those are great but besides that this school is not great.

It's discouraging when your child comes home and tells you the assistant principal told her not to worry about the conduct referrals she gets because she has a bad teacher, especially when your daughter is learning and likes the teacher. I have one graduate and two currently enrolled at NBHS. I truly believe that your attitude shaprs your experience. All three of mine are doing/ have done well. They challenge themselves and found good friends and committed staff.
