GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I've greatly enjoyed the opportunity to take challenging classes and have multiple student organization opportunities. I've been able to explore my potential through STEM between classes and clubs and get involved in school spirit. I have also found that there is not much help or consideration for students struggling with mental health or home life and would love to see improvements in that aspect. I would also like to see possible improvement in student facilities such as bathrooms in water fountains as they receive little to no care and are likely in health code violation.

Most of the teachers at canyon are great and i've only had a few bad apples. Some of the best History, Science and foreign language teachers teach here and the coaches are phenomenal. I love my friends here and I am so glad I have gotten to meet and grow with the people here.

I graduated canyon high school 2021 and had a overall great experience , the school has a good layout and great sports facilities. The teachers are about average I'd say however most of them are very friendly and understanding if you talk to them. the academics is above par I'd say and the students are competitive creating a great school environment.

We moved to the area from another state. The state and city we came from the high schools are below average and basically don't do much to help your children catch up if behind or even care if they finish. Canyon High Schools teachers and counselors did everything possible to help my child they even...

Our daughter has had a good freshman year at Canyon High School. Since she has taken all pre-ap classes, it has been a challenging but rewarding year. Swim team has been a great experience as well.

Granted, in a rapidly growing district, there are many challenges, but the school and district administration tend to focus on that much more than on than on the current students. There is a great deal of HIDDEN bullying and violence at CHS, and preferential treatment (obscene, at times) is given to...
