New Britain High School is an overlooked high school with hidden gems that I've taken for granted, due to a lack of curiosity. When I began attending I was a freshman , and I hadn't gotten a chance to get comfortable with the school. Everything seemed new and disorienting to me. This, I believe, is what stunted my desire to seek out more information about NBHS. Learning more about what NBHS has to offer made me appreciate it more. Although, NBHS is not perfect.I think the main problems in the school are the lack of student motivation, lack of academic rigor, and some rules and procedures that students and staff are forced to follow. One example of this is the fact that staff are expected to be bathroom monitors for students. Also, I don't feel like my classes are rigorous unless I am taking honors classes. I think this has to do with the abundance of freedom given to students for course selections and the honors system. The system ensures that students are held to separate standards

New Britain high school was a great experience. It taught me about diversity and community, the school feels like a big family and I am grateful for the opportunities I was given.

I just saw a review where someone from the class of 2002 was told by their school counselor to drop out...it's so crazy coz I was in the class of 1992 and was told in 1991 (age16) by my counselor to drop out as well and he wouldn't let me continue in regular school. So i dipped out and got my GED

If you have a disabled child I do not recommend this school what so ever. New Britain high school fails on providing an Appropriate EDUCATION program to students.
