I am a senior at High school in the community and I have been here for now 4 years. Hsc is a very different school compare to a lot of other New Haven school. We have less than 300 students and it is a very close school. We go on a first name basis which helps us make more personal connections with our teachers. We have very good classes and many extra help opportunities. There is a wide chance if you success that you can take many ap classes while attending Hsc. We do a lot of trips and activities with outdoor. We are a very hands on school and it is a great school for children who like to be a little weird and have fun. If you come with good energy Hsc will be an amazing for you.

The staff at HSC take their pride of being apart of the school to a whole different level. They are lil for the most part great, and there are so many students who have their days brightened due to that. Things like the food ad funding aren't directly the schools fault, but a lot of kids don't eat or don't use the bathrooms due to things like broken stalls.

I transferred to this high school when I was just entering my second year. Being a sophomore at a new school when everybody already had made their own friends and groups. I felt lonely at first but it wasn't too long until I met a bunch of amazing people and people accepting me for who I am. I feel accepted and understood here and I wouldn't trade it for another.

High School in the Community is a small school, so students get to know their teachers, administrators, staff, and peers very well; there is no anonymity, which has a positive effect on academic preparation and progress and social climate. Students are accountable citizens at HSC. Furthermore, the s...

High School in the Community not only offers good education, they also offer positive student role models and a well-rounded future oriented prospective. My son is a current student at HSC and I could not be more pleased with every aspect of the school.
