GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I have very good experience and have a chance to communicate with different types of kids. I learned different skills from my teachers on the academic and life level.

I've started attending Wilbur Cross during my junior year and now I will be a senior going into it. They offer a handful of AP classes but most students around me didn't seem to care much about education or future careers which was discouraging. The school's building itself is in horrible shape. some teachers were great, but a lot weren't. In terms of college preparedness, I'd give Wilbur Cross a 0 because only recently through a friend I was able to know the amount of college admission deadlines that I need to get done so soon. Wilbur Cross is also diverse, very diverse, I would say 80% of it is composed of colored students. It's far worse than the public school I attended for my freshman and sophomore years, Hamden high school.

My best experience at Cross is finding my place in the community by becoming Yearbook Editor. Most of my bad experiences has been from interacting with other students. Cross isn't known for it's friendly students, but once you find the right people, you'll be fine.
