The school is a christian school with about 180 kids. It is a boarding school that excells in music and sports. However in terms of academics, the school lacks. There are only a few dual enrollment classes and only 1 AP class. The school isnt focused on the academic part because the school is also a religious based school.

A decent school. Emphasize sports more than academics. Faculty like to play favorites when enforcing rules. You can really feel the love from genuine people though. It's a great place to build friendships.

I would like to see the school rules change. I would like to see the favoritism change. I would like to see some of the teachers be changed because a lot of them are terrible teachers. I have not liked my experience here at SVA and I would like there to be a change about it but it doesn't matter what anyone says because there will not be a change.

As a former student I feel bad for anyone that is or will be attending this school. After I graduated from SVA and went to college I discovered how woefully unprepared I was academically. This school has a great staff. So loving and helpful. God comes first at this school. Thats the most important thing. I have a daughter that graduated in 2020 and now my son is attending. Would highly recommend SVA for a great Christian education

Excellent arts program. A great value for a boarding school. Caring Christian faculty and staff are most important part of this school.
