Academy of the Sacred Heart, located in a stunning Greek Revival mansion on St. Charles Avenue in Uptown New Orleans, was founded in 1867. Its stately wrought iron arch serves as a gateway not only to a historical landmark, but also to a rigorous academic program that’s strong in the humanities and math, science and technology.
The school’s comprehensive curriculum addresses necessary skills at each grade level, and it offers 18 Advanced Placement on-site and online courses. The all-girls, Catholic independent school serves pre-K through 12th grade.
Beyond its historic original building and earlier additions, Academy of the Sacred Heart has added a modern math and science wing, a second campus for lower grades, and a new gym and fine arts center.
Home of the Cardinals, Academy of the Sacred Heart holds 100 titles in cross country, golf, track and field, tennis, volleyball, and soccer. It also offers many arts-related programs and clubs, including painting, choir, dance, theater, literature, and digital illustrating. The school states that it not only provides the tools to succeed in each young woman’s career path, but also the tools needed to foster personal growth, faith and values, and social awareness.

I love the close-knit community we have at Sacred Heart because we are such a small school. I love knowing everyone in my grade, unlike other schools where you go years without even knowing people's names.

There are many great things to say about the Academy of the SacredHeart. ASH has been a part of our lives for the past 3 years. Each member of the faculty, staff, and administration works hard daily to make the girls feel safe, happy, and loved all while guiding them on a path toward academic excellence and personal and spiritual growth. We could not be happier with our choice to send our girls to Sacred Heart.

Please please do not send your daughter here. The year I spent at sacred heart was the worst in my life. I'm not being overdramatic-I've dealt with horrible things, but this school is just bad.
