Named for Sarah Towles Reed, a Louisiana woman who formed the first teacher’s union for equal pay in the state in 1925, Sarah T. Reed High School is part of the Einstein Charter Schools network. The Einstein network saved the high school after it closed post-Hurricane Katrina, and today the network operates four different campuses in the Greater New Orleans area. In fact, Sarah T. Reed shares its campus with sister school, Einstein Middle School at 5316 Michoud Blvd. in New Orleans East neighborhood, Village de l’Est. Sarah T. Reed High School enrolls 400 students and teaches students in ninth grade through 12. The young adults come from throughout Orleans Parish and the school is co-educational. It also provides transportation to and from campus daily as well as having an after-hours care program. The school operates from the belief that collaboration makes communities stronger, and Sarah T. Reed demonstrates that by being Americans with Disabilities Act compliant. It also offers club sports such as basketball, volleyball, soccer, and outdoor track and field. The school is a college preparatory academy and has accelerated courses in culinary arts, graphic design, and STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics). Sarah T. Reed High School has career and technical education programs available as well.

I've been at sarah t reed for 1 month so far it's an "okay" experience at best. The only upside this school has is how diverse it is and it's band. The Major downside is the buildings age and it's resources. The bathrooms don't have proper urinals and the have all different phrases and symbols drawn on the walls and stalls and 90% f the day there is pee on the floor. And the algebra classes calculator are either broken or outdated
