I am an alum of Allen-Stevenson and remain active with the alumni community. After more than decade, my classmates from A-S remain some of my closest friends and our class is still very connected. The school's emphasis on the "many ways to be a boy" allowed me to explore interests and activities I never would have otherwise. Just as importantly, I felt consistently throughout high school and college that A-S prepared me to achieve at a higher level than peers who had come from other K-8 schools.

To make it simple, Allen-Stevenson made me the man that I am today. I learned the foundations of what is was to be a contributing member of society and a gentleman at the school and for that I will forever be thankful. The education and facilities are top notch, the teachers truly care about the boys at the school and the community is still one that I am actively a part of to this day.

No better place to raise a boy as the school purposely doesn't pigeon hole the kids at a young age to be only athletes, only academics, one artists/musicians, etc. They encourage the kids to try everything so that they have a well-rounded appreciation across the board.

My son attended A-S until 2019. Sadly the school has a well-known bullying problem, and the support he received from the learning support staff, Anne Meyer in particular, was poor.

My son has spent 1.5 years at Allen-Stevenson starting in Kindergarten and the school has been amazing so far.
