The school was okay but got worse over the years. I felt excluded from my class, but I had friends. Students aren't well supported emotionally. I had a friend with anger issues. In 5th grade, the teacher sent him outside and told him to calm down as he would cry. I also had a "touchy" teacher. There are also amazing teachers like Ms. Priego and Mr. Bialza, but there were teachers who need improvement. When I was there, the school was unstable. Many teachers left, and we even had a teacher fired during the year. The principals have also changed a few times, but not as much as the teachers. I had so many Spanish teachers that I ended up doing the same stuff in class for about 3 years because they didn't do a diagnostic test. The academics were good. As a freshman, I had a 4.0 GPA when going to a public school. I wasn't very challenged during this time because my teachers had prepared me well. In all honesty, I love this school but it was bad emotionally and I don't want to go back.

I’m writing this as a frustrated and disappointed parent who transferred to St. Edward School after Our Lady of Guadalupe closed. We hoped for a warm welcome and a supportive Catholic community, but what we found was bias, condescension, and an overall lack of compassion.Outsiders from Day One:From...

We have two children at St. Edward and have been here for 5 years. We were looking for a school rooted in the Catholic traditions and centered around Christ and his teachings. We found so much more. The sense/feeling of community is immediate upon enrolling, from the Principal to the Faculty and all...

This school has an excellent enviroment for your children. The teachers and students are very kind to one another. So you should consider registering your children into St. Edward Parish School.
