Newport High School has been my school for two years. They have an amazing technical education center. However, the school is very limited on resources due to school funding difficulties.

It's Trash. Avoid it if you can. You'll survive if you push trough and take the hardest class but seriously the school does not get you ready for college

Post graduation was hard for me. I was stuck between wanting be a teenager forever and wanting to grow up and go out into the real world. My first couple months at college were difficult because I felt as if everyone around me knew so much more than I did. I felt behind and lost because of that situation. Do I feel like Newport High School prepared me for college? No. But there are 2 or 3 teachers that did and I think that is the most important thing of all. My history teacher, Mr. Spanos taught me that life after graduation is going to be difficult. But in order to be successful, it requires hard work and no matter how tough it gets, you can't give up. And that's what I plan on doing-following in his words.

Very poor education given at this school would expect more when you see what people are paying in taxes

The school has a big issue with following IEP's. We transferred from a K-8 school and had an IEP meeting prior to my son entering 9th grade to insure a smooth transition. This was not the case, had to call and email for a month before they finally started his IEP. Once they started working with him...
