GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

West Canada is one of the best schools I have been to however the diversity and culture of the school could be highly improved.

West Canada Valley is a small school in a rural area. The teachers are nice and the classes are small, chances are if you need help in a class you'll get it.

Because West Canada is such a small school the friendships you make are a lot stronger and last so much longer. The school also has challenging curriculum and holds its students to high standards. The staff at WCV are extremely involved with the lives of their students and are always willing to give their students extra help.

It’s okay, they don’t take bullying as seriously as they should

I didn’t realize how bad WCV was until I moved out of the valley. A handful of dedicated, talented teachers keep the school’s scores high but they are constantly considering quitting due to the low pay. It’s better than a lot of the other schools in the area but still smells of central New York.
