The past 4 years I have gone to this school, I have seen many changes. My senior year this school was the best. Even though our sports teams were not the best, The energy was amazing

While my opinion may be different than many others who attended Newton High, I have had a great experience. The vast majority of teachers and staff I have had to interact with have gone above and beyond to ensure the success of their students. It can have a bad reputation at times, but I truly believe that if people would be willing to look past the negative aspects, they could see so much good. The extracurriculars are run well and the coaches and activity leaders care greatly about their athletes.

It has given me many opportunities to find what I am interested in, I have the ability to take classes some schools don't offer and I have a wide range of people there to help me learn the best I can and help me grow to my potential

Newton School District has been a great experience for our family. Our oldest graduated with honors, and our younger children, who have IEPs, continue to receive amazing support. Every teacher we’ve worked with truly puts students first. Newton offers more clubs and activities than any other school...

Newton Unified School District has been an overall positive experience for our family. With my husband and I graduating from much smaller high schools, we were concerned that Newton would be "too big". However, Newton is unique in that it provides a small town community feel but with so many amazing...

Moving to Newton and getting away from the huge Maize school district was the best thing we could've done! We moved here to find a better since of community and got that, and NHS has been wonderful. We have a senior there and she's been well prepared for her next step in life. Are there some staff w...

Most of the staff is very interested in the children's future, and are not prone to coddling, which I personally am all for. Especially at High School age teachers should not have to hold a student's hand through every assignment.
