Both of my children attended Ruckel Middle School. We were impressed by the academic rigor of the school and the support the teachers provide for the students. The school has successfully set both of our children up for success as they have transitioned to the high school curriculum and environment with ease. One of our children participated in the band program. They consistently received Superior ratings in both Marching and Concert Band performance evaluations and many state awards. He learned to be a musician at this school and fell in love with music. Our other child was very involved with sports at Ruckel. We found the Coaches to care about academics and behavior as much as on field results. The leadership at Ruckel worked hard to make sure that all of the kids are included and supported. They gave away monthly awards for not just the "smart" kids but based on core values of the students who were leaders in their classrooms. We love Ruckel Middle School and highly recommend.

They turn a blind eye to any issues that might tarnish their rosy reputation. They just don't want to deal with messy situations that some kids get into; sex, drugs, etc.. With every school you have the good , the bad, and the ugly. This school overall is extremely effective in challenging their students. They're winners in their curriculum as well as their athletics department. Well done Ruckel. I do agree that they need better conflict resolution.
